- At present Windows has some 90% of the market while Mac, Linux and iOS (phones) have approx 10%. These figures relate to desktops and laptops. When it comes to the fastest supercomputers and servers the reverse is true. A comparison of figures between September 2010 and Januuary 2010(shown in brackets is as follows:
- Windows7 22,3% (11,3%)
- WindowsXP 53,1% (59,4%)
- WindowsVista 10,5% (15,4%)
- Mac OS 6,7% ( 6,8%)
- Linux 4,9% ( 4,6%)
- Windows2K 1,7% ( 2,0%)
